112 on an Axis

I have an Axis Muddy Girl, in 243. I found a model 112 new barrel in a 6.5, I would like to put on my action. Will this work? What kind of problems should I prepare for??

As long as the barrel profile is the same it will be a direct swap. If the 6.5 is heavy profile you will need to open up the barrel channel.

Some model 12/112 were large shanks. Others, like my 12BVSS, are std shank and would fit the Axis.

Shouldn't have any other problems since bolt face dia is the same.
