A local shop has a used stainless steel Savage 16 with the muzzle break you can twist open or closed. It's in 243 Winchester. I believe it's the FHSAK. I can't imagine why anyone would need or want a muzzle break on a 243, but it's a neat looking rifle anyway. They have it priced at $700, which seems WAY too high to me, but I haven't seen many of these sell and probably never in 243. Any idea what these are currently going for?

That’s about right with the price hike on guns.

I guess I should have said "pre covid pricing". I won't buy anything at the panic prices :)

Well, if it’s the FHSAK, I’ve seen those go used for like $600-$800+ depending. Though I don’t believe it was offered in 243 factory trim.

I found the old Bud's listing for a 243 FHSAK, Buy Savage 16FHSAK 243WIN HFStainlessFB MB Online | 17953 - Buds Gun Shop (https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/26429/Savage+16FHSAK+243WIN+HFStainlessFB+MB) I found a few other old listings as well, but nothing fairly recent with prices.

Ahh, it was made in 243. Cool. Yeah, new one on me.
