Been seeing a lot of different data. Out of a 26-28" barrel what would be some averages using 110grn bullets, 130, 150?

With my friend's 22" barrel, we weren't able to get anywhere near the velocities we found other people were getting. I think people may exaggerate by a couple hundred FPS online. Why? I don't know.

Exactly- I'm seeing some pretty big spreads in reported numbers. Hopefully some more ppl who actually shoot this round will chime in. Thanks for the reply, Matt.

I could get around 3400-3450 with 110g V-max...130 triple shocks would do 3300+ with a hot load of R-22. 140g Sierra gamekings were around 3150 with H1000

This was all from a model 16 with a 24" barrel (i think that's right)

Savage model 12 270 WSM 26in barrel. 110 TTSX run 3570 fps ish with accuracy, 140 Accubond 3341 fps with accuracy and 3300 with the 140 Berger. Now that the barrel is toasted I can only run the Accubond accurately and I've lost 200fps. The only 130's I've crony'ed were the 130 Bergers loaded by HSM and I believe they ran 3150ish, if was about 20fps faster than they listed them at, quite anemic IMO. Just to add, the 270 WSM can run the 169.5 gr Wildcats in the 2900-3000fps range. I haven't shot any of the 150's over a crony so no idea what I would push them. All my data was verified with shooting drops out to 600yrds with the 110's and 1030 and 1450 yrds with the 140's, it seems fast but the drops do lie and I've got over 1400rnds on the main barrel, I've now got a barrel for coyote hunting and I need to get my LR barrel chambered so I can use 160+gr bullets in it exclusively for LR.
