Was wondering what the difference is between the 110 Elite Precision versus and the standard 110 Precision? It appears the Elite has an adjustable grip and weighs almost 3 pounds more. Both seem to have the same MDT chassis. Is the Elite worth $300 more?

Thanks much!

They have different MDT Chassis’. Just look at them side by side. It’s very clear. The chassis on the Elite Precision is the MDT ACC Chassis, the standard Precision uses the MDT LSS-XL Chassis.

It’s worth it to those who want the ACC Chassis. But from a performance standpoint? No.. They have the same accuracy potential.

The ACC chassis on the Elite is $1,200 if you were to purchase one, the Precision has the LSS-XL gen2 chassis plus a SRS buttstock would be $900. The Elite also has a 26" bbl whereas the Precision is 24".

I would agree on the chassis.
As for the barrel length, I have three 26-inch barrel Savages - 2 in 6.5mm CM and one in .223, and they are at the top of my other 24-inch barrel Savages, in my average 5-round group tables (more than 200 groups with each barrel) and in the top 25 load averages.
The data says that the barrel length does not make much of a difference in group size, but it does say that the group averages are better with the 26-inch barrels.
I have no good reason why that would be the case, since I load for exit time to minimize the harmonic impact of each barrel.

Personally, I would never use less than a 26” for my 260Rem. Currently have a 26” Shilen. When I rebarrel, I’m planning at least a 27” Bartlein.
