As the topic implies. With my personal reloading book gone , here we go again. Its been a long time since i have picked up my rifle, nor can i believe that i have let them sit for so long. Thank God for good ol RIGS grease for protecting them for me.The reason for the post is to get back into reloading there has been some changes in powders since the last time i hand pressed a load. There also seems to be alto of new powders on the market as well as a few missing. The Rifles that I would reloading for are A .270win , .308 and a 30-06.
Notes on the rifles
The 30-06 (savage 116) favors a heavier bullet it really like 168 - 180 grain.

the target was of 3 rounds 180 grain Sierra game king @ 200 yards.Primary use hunting.
The 308 ( savage 12bvss ) loves mil surplus 150 grain. At the time i really never got into reloading for because ammo was so cheap for. Certainly no the case now!!!Originally i bought this rifle to shoot in club matches certainly had my fun being the only savage guy.Sadly i no long have the time.

was trying to shoot out the staples that was holding the target 4 rounds again 200 yards
The 270 was just added to the collection its a savage edge supporting a Bushnell 6500 elite Hoping to take care of a few coyotes with it.Just wish it had a longer barrel.
Its seems that the favored Powder is
BlueDot (might be a bit hot for the 270 )
RL19 and RL15
RL17 ( seems to be a good powder in 308 )
RL22 good but not fast
Varget
IMR 4350 / 4064/ 4227
H4227
Win 760
The powder i know i have used and had good luck with win760 the heavy 06 loads. imr4064 and the varget in the 308
After reading 17 or so pages in the forum last night i have some of the pet loads. That where posted. My question for you is most about the reloaders 17. I have not been able to find much info on this powder from some of the data given it might be a choice for the 270/308.
Even the Smokeless Powder Types and Burn Rates http://www.reloadbench.com/burn.html dont reveal any info .Again please bare in minds its been 5+ years since i have picked up a rifle or reloaded.I would lover to hear what powders you like and why. with the lost of the black book i am back to square one. Anyone living in pasco county Florida knowing of a good gun range would be nice manatee gun club is a HIKE but a nice place to shoot. For those of you that made it this far thank you for taking the time to read the post.
