Stevens 7-08 to 450 be

Been thinking of a 450 BM got a deal on a barrel will it work with a center feed short action stevens just would like to pair it up with my AR or do I look at a donor mag fed rifle like an axis

Yes, it will work just fine. I remember reading it will load 3 rounds effectively, but that part may or may not be correct. But yes, say you take a Short Action, Centerfeed in 308, it WILL work just fine with barrel swap only.

I built my Bushmaster on an Axis action. So far, Mine feed the FTX and round nose bullets just fine but flat nose pills are another matter. I've been experimenting with heavy bullets by resizing a bunch of 45-70 bullets I have to .452". So far the heaviest I've shot in my Bushmaster has been 425 grain gas checked bullets. Accuracy has been very good with velocities in the 1500 fps range. These loads are a real shoulder thumper.
