Centerfeed Stevens 200?

Just picked up a Stevens 200 in 223. Ran the serial number and it comes back as 2002 manufacture.

The interesting thing is that it is an internal mag centerfeed.

All of the 200s I've seen in the past were staggerfeeds, didn't know they came any other way.

I have one in 7mm-08 and it is center feed internal mag.

The date of manufacture is completely wrong.....the Stevens model came out in 2004, and the center feed mags didn't come out until 2005. Some of the Stevens used center feed mags, and everything manufactured after January 2008 used a centerfeed mag. Anything with a serial # G 700000 and greater is a sure bet to be a center feed.

Thanks for clarifying Fred- mine is a G804xxx so it falls in that range. Guess the online serial number match was a little off.
