What are your plans for holding the action in place while the Devcon is setting up??

I'm going to grab a cheapo rifle rest, and planned to tighten down the action screws to half their normal torque. Do you have any tips?

I've only bedded the recoil lug on one model 12 action, so I used the action screws as well. My only concern was locking up the front action screw since it was so close. I did the shoe polish method with good results. There are numerous work arounds on here and youtube, I was just curious.

I hope you don't mind me asking... What was the original stock - Accufit or not? Why are you replacing the stock? Was there an accuracy issue? I'm asking because I have a 110 Storm with the Accufit stock in 308 Win; it groups pretty good with factory ammo.
