270 Weatherby on a savage action

Is it possible to put a custom 270 WBY barrel on a savage action and if so which action would I need? Say I had a Savage 114 American, would it have to be a magnum caliber?

yes you can. You will need a magnum bolt face. The 114 will work, I used a 116 for mine. You could also use a Stevens 200 magnum action too. Almost all the after market barrel makers does chamber for the 270 wby.
