Is there anyone on here that has a scout rifle and then you replaced the forward mounting scout rail for a standard rail and then mounted a traditional scope on it? Do you have pictures of it? Just asking for a friend.

I’ve not done it myself, but yes it’s been done & is quite easy. Remove the screws holding the front rail section & rear sight fixture. Then install rings or traditional rail & rings.

Here is a 110 Scout with said done. (Basically the same rifle)

A work around & still retaining the brass rear sight is using a high cantilever scope mount.

What did you use to cover the forward Mount screw, if you don’t mind me asking

Hello Darrel, to be clear, this wasn’t my rifle. Just an example I came across to give the OP a visual aid with the answer. But to your question, very simple…. There are set screws made to fill in & protect the threads. The screws sit just below flush.

6-48 set screws.

8-40 set screws.
