I just came into possession of a Savage model 24 (as stamped on the upper barrel). I have tried to identify it and the date of manufacture with info on the Savage24.com site. The best guess is a 24F-12T or a 24F Predator. It has a .223 over a 12 gauge (2 3/4 and 3" capable) with screw in choke (unknown type full, modified, etc). Barrels are separate with a band around the lower barrel at the muzzle. Barrels are painted black and it has a black synthetic stock and black synthetic forend. The engraving on the receiver is scrollwork. The barrel selector on the hammer is a simple toggle forward and back for upper/lower selection. There is a crossbolt safety in front of the hammer. The serial number is F076***. I would like to know the model, year of manufacture, how to tell what the choke is and where/if I can purchase other chokes. Thank you in advance for any information anyone can provide.

Most likely just a standard Model 24F. See link below for production date info:

Thanks. Through more research I found out it is a 24F Predator manufactured in 1990.
