Howdy fellow Savage shooters

Rust here. I found this forum when I was searching for Savage Axis bolt components. I was missing a spacer between those firing pin springs which results in misfires. If anybody know a place to get it or the dimensions/specs so I can have it fab at a shop. There are not that many gunsmiths where I am so ordering a new bolt assembly would be an issue, I wouldn't know what to do with the headspacing, etc.

Welcome. I’m not sure on the spacer, but I’ll try to find out for you. Are you able to machine it? If not, & we can find the specs on it, I’d be happy to machine one & send it to you. No charge.

Oh wait.. DUH! Do you have a Vernier Caliper, or Micrometer? If you can measure the diameter of the portion of the firing pin the springs/spacer go over & the diameter of the recoil springs, that’s all I would need.
