going back to "pet loads" so much info to talk about, will try not to be to long on this subject. was asked about psi, this will be MODERN bullet, early 1900 winchester came out with 165gr bullet, muzzle vel. 1752, breech pressure was 30-32,000, then Remy got in the game, psi jumped even higher. NOTE the 32-40 has never performed well with high speeds. Ken Waters "PET LOADS" is my bible when it comes to reloading 99's. it is some what out dated for newer bolt actions and newer powder's and some powders are not available these days. hope this helps.
