I have a Savage Hog Hunter, rebarreled to 6.5CM, that has a centerfeed blind mag that is worthless. It's sitting in a Boyds laminate stock. This rifle is more accurate than I deserve.

I want to convert to the Accurate Mags detachable magazine system so I can have a quick second shot on coyotes.

My question is: Will this detachable mag system work with a blind mag stock or is there too much work to get it to fit and function properly and I should just buy a detachable mag stock?

Thanks for any help.

I sent mine to Sharp Shooter Supply and he did the inletting for $50+shipping. Quick turnaround, too. He will probably want you to send the bottom metal you plan on using with the stock.

Inletting a blind mag wood stock for a DBM bottom metal isn't something you're going to want to tackle yourself unless you've got some mad woodworking skills and lots of patience. Since we're talking about a Hog Hunter model, I assume we're talking about a synthetic stock which I wouldn't recommend even trying it or sending it out to have someone do it. Better to just buy a factory stock that's already setup for the DBM hardware (classifieds, ebay, etc). Price can range anywhere from free to $125 or so depending on if it's a basic synthetic stock, AccuStock, or AccuFit stock.
