Anyone know of a source for replacement plastic trigger guards for the old 110? All I can find online is the metal replacment guards. And yes I know metal is stronger, but I want the old rifle as close to original as possible. :)

I imagine someone here has an old one they’ll give you. But if no luck...

I'd gladly for one if someone has one in the junk box, but if not, I appreciate the link! Thanks

I’m not familiar with that Trigger Guard Dave.

What is a Drop Box Magazine?

There is no tab on the front of that Trigger Guard for the rear action screw ?

I was waiting for Robin to chime in. He always has a spare part or two, LOL.

I need to start unloading them. I will never use all of it.

Well I came close, but no cigar. I went to a gun show yesterday looking for a trigger guard among other things. I saw a guy carrying a 110 stock with trigger guard and barreled action minus the trigger unit. He said he’d just bought the entire package for $50! It seems I just missed it :(

Savage no longer has them for the older rifles, but it looks like wbm is going to be able to help me out.

The plastic trigger guards cannot stand a lot of torque on the rear action screw.
After repeated tighteningss the screw head will eventually find its way through or crack the plastic.dtrigger guard.
If the screw is allowed to torque against the rear steel pillar in the tupperware stocks Then the trigger gaurd will be ruined as for its purpose. I've replaced all mine with steel or stainless steel versions.
When they bottom in the stock inlet it is much easier to torque the rear screw with consistency. I have bored the plastic ones so the screw head will pass right through and eventually come up against the rear pillar there was an aluminum version at one time, I have one but it too was cracked through the hole to outside. There was a time when unused heavy torque on both screws, which actually led to the destruction of the plastic gaurds.
If I looked hard I may find some of thoseflotingaroundin parts bins.
