I stated previously that my Axis would not shoot light bullets and said I was giving up on them but a few days ago I tried one last time and it shoots them fairly well. I tried again tonight and had a 23/32", 21/32" and a 7/16" group. The groups a few days ago were similar, maybe not quite as good but close. I don't know for sure what did it but I have come to the conclusion getting them close to the lands can be a detriment in some cases. The bullet is so far off it almost needs a map to find the lands but it shoots a lot better like this. I also am running on the low side of the powder charge. It also seems to be getting a little better with more shots through it too. This a 52 grain Hornady I am using. The 69 grain Sierras are better though, maybe .15"-.20" improvement.
