Greetings! I am a new member here as of about a month ago and recently saw this board. I am a fairly new collector of Savage and Stevens firearms. I recently finished rebuilding a 1903 .22 slide action and a 67e pump action shotgun. My current project is a 311a that I am restoring for my grandfather. He has always wanted a double barrel so I am trying to get one up and running for him. I am having some difficulties with the barrels that I made another thread about over on the Shotguns board. Savage firearms appeal to me because of their interesting historical value and place in Americans firearms culture. I am very fond of 1900-1960s era Savage firearms due to their interesting functionality and aesthetic. I also collect other older firearms and milsurp rifles. I am happy to be a part of this forum and looking forward to absorbing all of the wisdom its members have to share.
