I just got my new savage 12. seems to have a little rough bolt works. how to easily solve this without just saying shoot 2ooo rounds and all will be well!! Don't really want to disassemble the gun and do the jewelers rouge trick for hours of work.. any ideas welcome. thanks from the 3 hour newbe

Welcome to the group. Sadly, there's no easy fix for the bolt. Polishing the raceway is the best option. Savage bolts fit sloppy to begin with when compared to the Remmy 700.
