I have a 223 AI with a 1 in 14 twist that I built to shoot the 35-45 grain bullets to 3800+

Anyone out there playing with one of these or something close. Looking for some base line loadings.

Of note, I have never tried to find the top velocity or accuracy loads for any bullets lighter than 50 gr. Imagine you will need to find a faster powder than Benchmark, H4895, etc....not enough case capacity, even in the AI.

Bullets were coated with WS2/Danzac.....
STRING 07 1.250 1:12 bbl 28.5"
SHOT VELOCITY
1 3713.6 27.4 BM cci 450 40 vmax
2 3774.4 27.5
3 3775.7 27.6
4 3766.7 27.7
5 3789.9 27.8

I have a great article Steve Timm sent me regarding the 223AI and loading for lighter bullets. He was able to get 3900-3960 with a 1:12 22" tube using 40gr BT and H335(the powder for lighter bullets in this caliber IMHO). I had a similarly configured rifle and was able to duplicate his results. Shoot me your email and I will forward you the info.

I shoot a reduced load w/ my 223AI 14 twist w/ the Horn 35gr. vmax, 12.5gr. blue dot right at 3100fps. It makes a loud pop and is very accurate if the wind isnt' too strong
