Action Torque

I have a Savage Long Range Hunter Acc Stock in 300WM, what is the proper inch pound setting for the Action screws? I have always heard the tang needs to be free floated, is that rue for this model?

Accustock models - 40 inch pounds (including wedge screw)
Centerfire w/ synthetic stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Centerfire w/ wood stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Centerfire w/ laminate stock - 30-35 inch pounds
Rimfire w/ any stock - 15 inch pounds
