Decapping 204 Ruger

My RCBS universal decapping dies rod is too big for the 204.
I don't want to use a neck or FL die at this time, What do you all use to decap your 204?
I was thinking to turning down the rod a bit on the lath, any problem with that?

I won't have any problems with it ;), And I don't think you will either as long as your not working with crimped primers
