I have a Model 110 Short action, internal magazine in 284 Winchester, I bought it used. It seems to double feed rounds. If you two load only or single it works ok; add a third round and it has all kinds of jams.

What is a good Savage stock I can replace it with something used without spending a fortune?

Also the 116 I have in 6.5x284 Norma feeds from a box magazine and seems to work well, am I able to convert the 110 short action to this same box set up in a short action? If so which set up would work?

Any info is appreciated.

To get started, you have a long action and a short action correct? Are either one of them stagger fed or are they center fed?

The reason I ask is, and I may be on the wrong tree but depending on what type of magazines you have on the short action the magazine might only be a two rounder like the wsm's.

When I purchased the rifle it was sold as a 110 short action. Its a older model, maybe the first year of the Accutrigger.

I do have a Long action magazine fed 116 in 6.5x284 Norma, I like the removable magazine, and are curious if I can change the 110 short action to the same format?

The screw spacing for the 110 short action is 4.25 inches, I think Generation 2?

I am not well informed on Savage rifles, so I could be incorrect with the 110 short action information?

Robinhood, I missed your question on center feed or staggered. The 284 Winchester short action 110 is a internal box and staggers the rounds.

If I get a chance I will test both styles.
