Here's what I dusted this year.
The bigger of the two I took just before legal light ended, he come running straight at me with a doe trailing behind (odd????). Went 16 pts with all the brow tine stickers.
The 8 pt I got the next morning. Textbook situation. I had 4 does and a fawn loitering around the bottom of my stand and we still had a doe tag in the gang but I really don't like taking does. They hung around for about 15 minutes but seemed kinda edgy, not sure if they winded me and didn't know where I was (had a cigarette hanging out the corner of my mouth) and then they just walked away. Wasn't 10 minutes later (I just put the smoke out) and the 8 pt come walking down the same gut the does came in with his nose to the ground right on their trail. Wasn't letting him get by.
Took them both with my Savage 110 made in 81 with a Boyds forest laminate thumbhole stock in 7mm-08 wearing a Redfield lo-pro 2-7X.
