Newb needs Help already

First one in my inventory:
older Savage 110L (5 digit sn: 33xxx - w/o a letter prefix)
.243 that was modified by the original owner with a 24" Shilen barrel and nice check riser wood stock. Now I need to get a proper optic mount... running up against a gauntlet on which one fits this thing that doesn't seem to have a manufacture date with Savage

Is the "L" a flat back action? If so, The Evolution Gun Works Picatinny mount should work on that rifle and it will give you a lot of leeway to mount a scope for eye relief.

I had to go look, yes flat back... didn't even notice the back was flat beforehand. I am under the impression that the "L" is for Lefty though
