I would not compair a ER shaw to a Shillen or a Hart.

I do easily get 1 MOA from them, some .075 MOA on good days

Bottom line, it's a crap shoot with Shaw barrels.

I have three Shaw barrels 6.5 X 55, 338 Federal, and a 308 they all work well for their intended purpose..... Hunting. I'm waiting for Midway to get the 260 back in stock and I will order another Shaw barrel. I'm very satisfied with them.

I have an ER Shaw SS varmint in 243. It has taken a LOT of work to get it to shoot well- enough. I would get another for a lower buck rifle build, but really no big complaints.

It's really is a crap shoot with the Shaw barrels. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes not.

Look at the other post on barrels. There is some good info in that post. The Benchmark barrels are the best on the market now. There is info about why they are the best in the other post.

One of the top Savage rifle builders uses them exclusivly. He quarentee's .3" or better on his rebarrel jobs using the Benchmark barrels. Most shoot much better that .3, 5 shots @ 100 yds.
