The RCBS unit is available and in stock, just need to expand your source horizons a bit. Much as I hate using Amazon for gun/shooting stuff, they have them, and the one I ordered Sunday will be here tomorrow.

I've always taken the military crimp out with a couple of turns with my RCBS camfer / deburring tool . Never had a prob and just as quick as any other method

I honestly doubt if this brass is worth saving. If it is no better than the complete rounds was, no big loss. I have a pretty fair supply of other 223 brass and 223 brass isn't terribly expensive, although it might be by the time stuff becomes available. Prices are going crazy on everything, not just reloading stuff but reloading stuff may be even a little worse than other things.
