Boyd gun stock

Thinking of getting a boyd thumb hole stock for my savage 16 300 wsm. Anyone have one or have experience with the company? They say they ship in 1 to 2 days. Also woundering if you can just bolt the new stock right on like they say? I always thought their was other stuff that needed to be done for the fit.

Everything they say, I have found to be true. I did bed the action, but it is a drop if thats what you want. I have always bought the fully finished stocks.

I put one on a 12 fv in 223. The barrel channel had to be opened up to fit the larger barrel but I knew that going in. The fit was good but I bedded it to make it fit better. I like the stock but would prefer a more vertical grip.
