Savage 110 20" .223 Leupold VX-III 6.5 - 20 , 55 gn bthp over 25.1 gn of 4895. Getting used to a new 10.5 oz trigger. Now, breathing an trigger control are even more important. 6 of the 10 at 100 are where they should be, 4 low were called so I know the rifle still likes this old load. All in all I will be happy with the 100-9x. Will take better care next time out.

I feel for you. I had forgotten how important the little things were until I got my little .223 working well. Just a minor thing makes the difference between a 1/2" and 1" group. And getting below 1/2" is really another level.

Then I got the .308 and that amplified things even more. I had to get even more consistent in my setup. But, results pay off all the extra attention to detail.

Most of my shooting is off a bipod so loading is important and easily overlooked. Just had FEDEX drop off 11 boxes of Berger 55 gn fb varmint match grade bullets. Hoping to work up a load using IMR 8208 soon.

Nice indeed,

Just finished Sunday testing a bunch of loads, mostly around a 62gr Hornady and thought I was getting there until I shot the 68hr. Hornady Match. All I can honestly say is I need to load more to assure it wasn't a fluke! Gun is a 2004 Model 10 wood stock and 22" Sporter barrel and Burris 4.5-14X42 E1
