Just got blessed with a new rifle today from my oldest son. So far I love it. Just one question; does this rifle have the embedded aluminum rail in the stock like an accu-stock, or is it different?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210413/a8cce40e5aebd439e0cd7a14e1d3dd00.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210413/2223707deb24ee66ec4df02ef5ddeed0.jpg

I don’t think this package includes an AccuStock.

I don’t think this package includes an AccuStock.Correct, no Accustock. So I guess no internal rail? It's fine if it doesn't, since this is the beginning of my first chassis rifle. Just curious.

This is my 2nd Savage rifle. My first is my 62f. I was so impressed by the quality of that little girl that when my son offered to get me a gun for my birthday, this was my choice. I was already planning a chassis build with my Mossberg Patriot, but may give that one to one of boys and focus on the Savage.

Got her all sighted in with some S&B 180 grain. I think shes a keeper. The pic was my best group at 100 yards.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210504/7b3f87a8421f91e1910f5ce04fcee480.jpg

Imagine what it would do with a good handload.Seriously. Gonna upgrade to a chassis over the plastic Non-Accustock in a few months, then new glass. Hopefully reloading gear will be more reasonably priced by then and I can build my bench.

Don't discount what that tupperware stock is capable of. I've owned my share, and never saw the need to upgrade as they were all easily sub-MOA with the right loads, and often better than that.

If you carry your hunting rifles much, you'll also appreciate the fact that those tupperware Savage stocks weigh less than just about any other stock out there. You could spend $400 on a custom lightweight stock and still not get one that is lighter or shoots better.

If you want a chassis for the sake of having a chassis, then go for it. But don't be surprised if it doesn't shoot any better than that factory stock.

I is pretty good factory ammo in my experience. I've shot it in .223 and 9mm.

I had some in 223 and thought it was horrible. Of course, I was just starting then and it is entirely possible most of the inaccuracy was my fault but not entirely. I shot much better with Winchester ammo at the same time and a little later my handloads were better than both.
