Got the fluted barrel back, duracoated it with three coats of matte black and two coats of matte clear.
I was going to coat the flutes matte green, to match the stock color, but the color didn't match.
The fluting only took about a half pound off.
It balances a little better, but is still a little barrel heavy.
It's 11 pounds with the thermion XP38 and a loaded AI five round steel magazine, the way I'd be carrying it in the field.
Bipod was on only for pics.
Now it's off to the range, to see if it can hold close to a zero after a full disassembly, machining, cleaning and assembly.
