I have been bedding a old 110 Single Shot action into a Accu-Stock (http://www.savageshooters.com/showthread.php?68834-Accu-Stock-removal-and-re-assembly-on-a-Mdl-16-Weather-Warrior), I have everything so it fits. Had to inlet for the top bolt release and fabricate a spacer between chassis and trigger guard. I am now fabricating the action screws.
I have read about concerns of pulling the action too far into the rails the action lays on and spreading them, supposed to use 40 inch/lbs. On the stock I have there is a piece of square aluminum that runs the length of the chassis. Do I pull that down till it and the action touch? If not, how much clearance should there be between them?
