Lee bushings

Can someone explain the difference between the Lee Breech lock bushing and the Lee Spline drive bushing ? Is there an advantage of one over the other?

The only difference is the spline drive has the weird top and special wrench for tightening the bushing in the press. They make lock rings for the dies with the same pattern. I like the lock rings on my dies. The little wrench gets in tighter spaces (like on my 5 station turrets) than using pliers or such to get a die loose.

I use the "old" style bushings as I've read numerous comments of the newer spline version splitting/cracking, etc., with very little pressure. IIRC, made from aluminum, not steel.
