Looking for some input. I'm new to savage rifles, and have traditionally have been around / owned / shot other manufactures. I just purchased a Model 12 BTCSS (Varmint Contour) 26" chambered in .223 with the thumbhole stock. With other models / manufactures I've used you could buy aftermarket magazines, such as magpul's etc. that would work. Unfortunately I'm not finding anything really for Savage Rifles, I've been lead to believe that this is possible but just not finding anything, others have lead me to think you have to use Savage magazines! Just looking for some clarification and hoping to be pointed in the right direction. Also Ive looked at KRG Chassis stocks, and they have discontinued their models for the Savage was wondering if anyone had any experience with possibly the Oryx Chassis. Like I mentioned completely new to Savage and not sure what I can get or do aftermarket. Mainly bought this rifle to the style and caliber.

I'm pretty sure you limited to the Savage factory magazines.

Might get more visibility/suggestions if posted in the 110 series forum which includes the model 12.
