Hey All,
New to the forum but not new to Savages. Finally making a profile on here because I started building what some would call a "Budget" PRS rig. I have never shot competition but made a goal this year to shoot one PRS match here in Kansas. Here are some details on the build.
Action: Savage Model 12
Stock: MDT XRS
Barrel: XCaliber 24" MTU Contour 1:7 Twist Chambered in 6 GT
Muzzle Device: 7.62 Raptor Suppressor from AB Suppressor located here in Kansas.
Trigger: Stock for now with minor polishing, really need suggestions on a good trigger that is reliable and has a weight of around 1 Lb.
Scope: Currently using a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 MIL but want to save for a Strike Eagle 5-25x56.
The powder and bullets I'm wanting to run are Barnes 112 Matchburner and H4350. The main reason for this is I already have 9 LBS of h4350 and 300 bullets.
