Savage model 3B

What can you guys tell me about this model 3B that I picked up from the gun show yesterday? I'm pretty sure I got a decent deal at $100 out the door for the gun and 50 rounds of CCI Quiet. It appears to be in good shape for its age. This will be my 7 y/o son's first gun. I started out with a Winchester 67A and this gun reminds me a lot of that old Winchester. Nice looking old rifle, should make a fine first rifle for your son!! Great price, too!! The box of ammo is almost worth that much these days!! :(
I have a 67A with the rear #96A peep sight!! Fun little gun.
Things are slow around here, a lot of threads go unanswered!! Somebody will eventually have more info!!
