Anybody have luck with this powdet in a magnum? I bought some for my 338lm, I'm afraid it may be too slow.

Good choice of powder if you ask me. If I had a 338 LM , I would be shooting that since Retumbo is a unicorn most of the time.It has a slow burn rate but definitely not slow in the velocity department.
IMR8133 is the Enduron clone of Retumbo with higher PSI and velocity .I have tried IMR 7977 in 300WM because I couldn’t find H1000, it performed very well.

That link is what made me look for it in the first place. They hit 60k+ psi with all loads listed, I'll stop worrying about it. That needed a closer look. Thanks for the info on 7977, its also on my list.

Good catch:( , the IMR Enduron line generate higher PSI and velocity than almost anything else. I would do a “SERIOUS” ladder test to clear any doubts, especially if you start goofing around the lands and/or exceed max).
Hornady tenth edition recommends 285 ELd-M with Retumbo/H1000 meaning 8133/ 7977 are your tickets.
