I have been looking at a used Savage Model 10 in 223 for what I hope is a good price, they are asking $330.00.. This one has a Walnut stock and a 22" standard barrel.

Looks like this one only barrel is stamped Model 10.. :https://gunvalues.gundigest.com/savage-arms-corporation/11532/model-110-gx/

I have search here and the web and find no reference to a model 10 with a wood stock. anyone with help, advise or ideas?

It’s a good gun.

Look at crown and if possible the bore and chamber.

Savage has had a zillion versions of guns and people swap parts like a 10/22.

Mine is a 2007 savage predator.
It looks nothing like the day it came home.

Barrel is stamped savage 10. It is a varmint profile barrel.

My bore is pitted a bit.
Cut and new crown. A bit of bedding in the stock and some fouling in the barrel the rifle shoots really well. Sub moa until the wind moves the bullet.

Cheers. Post some pictures!

Savage 10 also refers to short action. Heavy sturdy short action. The physical part.

If you get there and it's already been sold, you wern't suppose to have it!!

I've learned long ago, if I miss out on this one another will come along and maybe more to my liking.

Showed the wife the ad and her first response was "do you really need another gun!". Of course I responded that no I didn't but I would like one. Unenthused she gave the go ahead.
