I have this mid 1990s 110 and all I recall is the torsion wire spring along the right side . Found the three screw pictures and directions on set up.

I didn't go far off base back then.

Good information,

Thank you for looking.

It gets by. But it could be better.

It started out as a project to see what could be had off the shelf for 500 yard guest gun.

Nice shootin'.
It seems I wind up grabbing one of my loaners or one of the kids/grandkids guns (if they aren't going) more and more when I head out into the field.
They all started out as inexpensive projects as I learned to tune triggers, bed actions, refinish wood and metal and generally tinker on Savages with items from the hardware store and then tune a load for them.
I'd much rather improve what came on one as a project, than buy aftermarket parts whenever possible. I have plenty of confidence in any of them.
The info and inspiration here at Savage Shooters has really been informative and helpful especially as things have changed over the decades.

Nothing to complain about with those groups. Those old tupperware stocks have a lot of flex in the wrist area making them very hard to shoot consistently. Any variance in grip pressure or how tight you are pulling it back into your shoulder will have an affect on point of impact.

No surgery intended but I would like it to be consistent every outing.

I have a 1942 Savage in wood that is consistent year to year week to week.

It is my yard stick. If our ranges ever open again I just need more time with it.

I have already picked up two possible problems from here I will check out as soon as I'm done working on the boss's rototiller.

Cheers
