I amazingly found a dealer on-line who had a 12 F/TR in .308. Last I checked he still had 3 in stock. Price was $1299.00 plus shipping. Far less than MSRP. I bought this as a start for F/TR competition, but now I need a reasonably priced Bi-Pod. I have cruised the internet from one side to the other and some of the name brands to me look way to soft in the front to back movement and are really tough to adjust for elevation or angle. Some of the clones look interesting and seem to be relatively rigid and somewhat easy to adjust. I haven't set a budget, but money is always a discriminator. Any suggestions will be appreciaated.

I’d start with a Sinclair. Good quality bipod at a reasonable price. Then if you decide to get serious about F/TR I’d step up to a Phoenix.
Also don’t skimp on a rear bag. Go with a Protecktor rear bag. They are worth every dime.

I also agree that Sinclair has a great bipod, and I also agree that the Protektor rear bag is the way to go.but I think their 3rd gen F-Class can't be beat.

Their F-class bipod, I have two, attaches to the front sling swivel and tightens down to eliminate any movement.
Coupled with the Protektor rear bag, the rifle stays stable and works great on a bench or prone for long distance shooting.

The F-Class is not cheap but after trying a Harris bipod and a more expensive Sinclair front rest, I tried the F-class bipod and have not used anything else since.

Ditto on the good rear bag and the Sinclair.

Thanks for the input. The Sinclair bipod is not unreasonably priced.

I have also upgraded my Sinclair bipod. It really helps it track. Very similar to my Phoenix.
