Staying with the same bolt head 22-250, 6mm Rem, 30-06, 35 Whelan, 400 Whelan. Change bolt head and sky is the limit.

Could I rebarrel a 25-06 in 257 Weatherby? New bolt head and magazine?

Yes and you could probably rechamber that 25-06 to the 257 Weatherby.

Sweet! I need a new barrel anyway and now have to decide between 25-06AI or 257 Weatherby Mag. Sorry to hijack this thread.

AI is cheaper to build and shoot. 257 mags are hard on barrels if you shoot a lot.

you can, and if you had asked to begin with, it would save time guessing whats on your mind.

you will need a different bolt head and mag if you plan on a repeter

If it is a stagger feed, the bottom of the action will have to be opened up to fit the magnum mag box.

i dont know i havent even shot it yet,but if i do change it id like to do a 7mm ultramag or 300 ultramag

If you're going to the Ultra's, your best bet is to shoot it single shot.

You'll need a magnum bolthead, same as a 300win or 7mmMag.
