Savage 219 Barrel fit question

I have an early Model 219. Will shotgun barrels from the Savage Model 94 shotgun and the Model 220 shotgun fit on the Savage Model 219?

The 219 & 220 are supposed to interchange but may need some fitting to get the latch to close the same with different barrels and of course you will need different forearms for different contour barrels. Savage sold rifle shotgun combinations. I have one Stevens Model 94 in 410 and the barrel 'fit' on one of my Savage 220 actions, it closed but the latch got jammed and I had a hard time getting it open, I think with some fitting it would work fine, it just was a little to tight. The 12 gauge Savage 220 barrel fit into the Stevens 94 action and closed smooth and tight. I also tried the barrel from a 22/410 model 24 on the 220 and it fit the receiver, but it looked really strange. I believe these were all made at the Stevens plant.
