I have ordered a Criterion pre-fit barrel, ground recoil lug and barrel nut from NSS today. I have a 308win 10FP in an old Choat stock that I have been wanting to change.
Will the existing extractor work OK? I was reading a few threads that said some savage 10/110's have different extractor lengths.
I will read through the threads on how to smooth out the action and see if I can make it a fun bench gun.
Thanks for any suggestions.

What are you doing with the takeoff 308 barrel?

As far as I know, the .308 extractor will work fine.

I will keep it, the accuracy was good for a factory barrel.

I decided to sell my factory 308 fluted barrel on eBay. I’m surprised at what it’s up to. No sense in letting it collect dust in the safe.
