Over the last decade or so there have been multiple periods when ammo and components have been in in short supply.
I decided to reduce the number of ponies in the barn and consolidate based on bore diameter.
So far during this latest "drought" it seems to have served me well having interchangeable components on hand.
I'm down to mostly .308 and .223 diameters because of the wide number of calibers I can load for with those components.
.257 covers a couple as well and seems to be one of the less popular so it stays on the shelf a little longer, but also seems to take a little longer to come back in stock.
Has anyone else subscribed to this way of selecting what they're buying selling and trading?
I've found H4895 can cover quite a few cartridges effectively.
What powders and other components have you found that can cover multiple cartridges well?
