I'm wanting to mount an older Aimpoint Comp M2, same optic known by many as the M68/CCO.
I'm trying to set it up low to the bore on a picatinny rail for a fast handling hunting rig.
It's currently in an ARMS mount that sets it up high for use on a modern sporting rifle, but I'm trying to find a mount to lower it for use on a rifle that actually has a much lower comb. When in this mount on a standard hunting rifle it's more of a neck stretching exercise and just sits way too high to point intuitively.
Any suggestions on a setup that works for this application would be appreciated.

I would think this or a similar ring would work.

Do you have a rail or 2 piece mount? It looks to be a 30mm tube. Pick a wide tactical ring and pick a height.

Or

Thanks Guys
I have a shoebox full of various mounts available but currently the rifle has a picatinny style EGW rail on it. I've found on several occasions that the EGW rails sit too high as is for my taste when mounting standard optics, much less with a mount intended for an AR style rifle with no drop at the comb because of the buffer tube added in.
Just about everything I've seen so far to fit the Aimpoint has been a high or extra high setup for ARs
Guess my search skills are getting weak.
For some reason I was thinking it was some proprietary setup that was necessary.
Since it appears that a single wide or extra wide 30mm ring may be all I need, I think I'll look around and see if I can find an appropriate low quick detach setup.
Since it's a single attachment point, I'm currently thinking I'll probably look for something made of steel and bombproof. Still not as easy to find as one would think. After seeing pics of a "vortex tactical ring" split and hearing and seeing their excuse that "it's meant for lightweight red dots etc. not for use with other optics" I do know they are entirely out of the running.
Recommendations on a setup that will work are still appreciated and I"ll update when I figure it out

You can also use the rear mount of a 2 piece and attach a low ring to that.

A standard 30mm scope ring will work on your Aimpoint RDS. If you want something that is QD, buy some of these in either Low or Medium height.
