So I thought I might share this with you guys. This is my first build of any rifle so any feedback would be appreciated. My intent here is to build a rifle that is capable of long range shooting and has a tactical look. I may also have the chance to use this as a duty weapon, if they ever send me to school!

This all started with an exceptional buy that I found on another forum for a 308 factory heavy barrel. I'm not gonna say the site or the cost of the barrel, but from what I've seen it was a good deal. The round count was low and everything appears to be accurate with what he told me when I got it and inspected it. So I then had to set out for an action. Well I found a short action centerfeed with a Ken Farrel base that I picked up $335tyd. So at this point, I'm still under $400 and basically have a barreled action with a good 20moa base.

I have since got a Forster go-gauge to install the barrel with. I just ordered a new recoil lug and bolt handle from Stockade. I've got a Choate tactical stock that I found used and already inletted for a CDI BDM. I ordered a CDI BDM today and an AICS 5rd mag.

So I was bored the other day and I built and installed a 38spl case bolt lift kit. The next step is to take the bolt back apart and polish area's to help ease the resistance on the bolt lift. It's not horrible at this point, but it is kind of hard to tell until I get it into the stock.

Does anybody have the link to the web page that I saw on here, which showed the area's of the bolt parts to polish? I thought I saved it, but I can't find it anywhere now! Thanks, Jason
