So...the maximum OAL of the 300 PRC is 3.7 inches. The maximum OAL of the Remington Ultra Mag is actually shorter at 3.6 inches, even though the case of 300 RUM is 2.850 and the 300 PRC is shorter at 2.580.
What are the odds the 300 RUM will fit in the Elite Precision's 300 PRC magazine? The 300 Rum is a slightly larger in diameter at .550 compared to .532.
The shoulder is up higher on the 300 RUM and that may be the problem if the OAL works.
However, if it does work, that would allow me to use a 300 RUM. I have a really nice X-Caliber 300 RUM barrel and all I need to reload it. 300 PRC is nice and all but when was the last time you could actually buy ammo, brass or even reloading dies for it for less than a king's ransom? I was able to get an Elite Precision in 300 PRC at a really significant discount, likely because you can't actually shoot it. Even so, I guess it can be a single shot until I can get 300 PRC at some point in the distant future.
