I posted more about this gun in the shotgun forum, but posting here for specific help on learning the build date. Do the same lettering rules from rifles apply to shotguns?

New here with just purchasing my first Savage shotgun 775A with a super choke. My question is related to the super choke, the gun I bought has several missing ribs/slots in the venting portion of the choke and I bought another used barrel with undamaged choke from a pump action with the intention to swap to my auto loader. Problem is I cannot find any information on how to remove the choke or if it is even possible to do. Any feed back or links would be greatly appreciated.
