I’m shooting a Savage 110 Elite in 6 Creedmoor for 300 and 600 yard bench rest....have about 1000 through the barrel and I’m thinking long term about the next barrel. I may end up getting a prefit from Northland, but also am considering one from Kreisler or C-Caliber.

what size is the shank on a 110 barrel?

Thanks,

George

Looks like the large shank from pictures?

I'm on the same page as Celltech. If you go to that link you will find this picture that gives you the length of the nuts for the 2 different nuts for the 2 shank sizes. http://www.savageshooters.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=619&d=1552021069&stc=1

You could always measure the barrel right in front of the nut. If it is greater than 1.055 you have a large shank. The nut length is good enough proof.

X caliber is good. Brux, Kreiger and Bartlien are all premium barrels.
