I got a set a few weeks ago. I didn't think they seemed to work very well and one day I forgot to turn them on. I really couldn't tell any difference. They are the cheap ones and I can't recall exactly what they are called but I got them from MidwayUSA and paid a little less than $30. Still, I would think they would do something. Should I talk to MidwayUSA, Caldwell or what are your suggestions?

Make sure the batteries are good and facing the right direction. Sometimes it's hard to tell which way they go...

First, I would check to see if the batteries got loose in shipping before I called anyone.

Over several years, I have purchased about 6 sets of electronic shut off ear protection muffs from about three different companies.
At least two were low cost. They all work, some better than others. Price didn't seem to matter as much as basic design.
But they all have to have batteries installed and functioning.

Howard Ligget about the same price way better muffle and you can still triangulate where a noise is coming from.
Walkers a bit cheaper but there a little cheaper...
I have never used Caldwell.

I have had no help from Caldwell. I think they are a bunch of deadbeats. I contacted MidwayUSA to see if they could prod them along a little. Done with that outfit (Caldwell, not Midway). I haven't gotten a lot of stuff from them but it has all been overpriced and not really good quality.
