Anybody know any history about this rifle? When I was a teenager back in the 90s my dad got me this rifle off of a guy he knows. I’m left handed and I love the 308 round as I always read it’s very accurate.

Anyway... over the years I’ve searched for info to no avail. The gun model is a 110CLD but I don’t know what the letters stand for literally every website I cannot find all letters 110CLD together. Is it a left handed deluxe model?

Serial is 102***

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I will never part with this rifle as it means so much to me. I remember refinishing the stock when I was a teenager and hunting whitetail with it.

From reading some other threads I have located the oval with the two numbers and a letter T. Which apparently the rifle is a 1966 model?

i still don’t know what the CLD means.. I am assuming it’s a deluxe model... the stock is very pretty.

Several good history articles in the FAQ, here's one - https://www.savageshooters.com/content.php?500-Savage-110-Model-History-1958-1989

Well this confuses me because it doesn’t have a detachable clip it has a plate there screwed into rifle where one would go.

Ahh good question. I am also new and have the same question. Three days ago I decided that I was going to comb this blog hoping to find the answer.

Did you ever find anything else about your rifle? It should be a left handed clip fed but mine has the flat bottom metal. No Idea what the D means.
